Dear Administrators and Counselors,

Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education (FCAE) would like to invite you to attend From Classroom to Career: The Power of Agricultural Education, a professional learning opportunity designed specifically for school administrators and counselors.

The workshop will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at the Applied Science Center (ASC) at Rend Lake College in Ina. Check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m. with doughnuts and coffee.

Throughout the morning, you will have the opportunity to hear directly from students, teachers, and administrators about the impact a quality agricultural education program can have on students and schools. Topics will include the 3 Circle Model of Agricultural Education, FFA Career Development Events, agricultural career opportunities, national program benchmarks, and the day to day role of an agriculture teacher. Most importantly, students will share their own experiences and how agricultural education has helped prepare them for their futures.

Our goal is for administrators and counselors to leave with a better understanding of how agricultural education provides students with:

  • Academic knowledge

  • Leadership development

  • Real-world experiences

  • Career readiness

  • Connections that strengthen our schools and communities

Whether your school currently has an agriculture program or you simply want to learn more about the opportunities available to students through agricultural education, we would love to have you join us!

Please see the flyer for the complete agenda and register here. We encourage you to register soon and share this invitation with other administrators or counselors who may benefit from attending.

We look forward to spending the morning together and showcasing how agricultural education helps students move from the classroom to a career!
