Tentative Agenda      

2024 Resolutions Form      
All committees, officers, members and others concerned with furthering agricultural education may submit their resolution on the appropriate board form to the Special Projects and Resolutions Committee by 5:30 pm on the first day of conference, with the committee submitting the resolutions to the IAVAT Executive Staff by the end of their scheduled committee meeting.

Professional Development      
IAVAT Conference Workshop Registration is open at www.ILAgEd.org. If you have additional questions, please email Casey Bolin at cbolin@ilaged.org

Trivia Night      
Start getting those trivia teams ready to go! Due to space availability, there is a limit of 10 teams. Click here to register. No outside beverages are allowed in the bowling alley but there is a bar in the venue. Money raised will support Crisis Relief. For more details, contact Kara Barling at barlingk@husd4.org.

Bowling Night      
Enjoy a night of friendly competition, prizes, and laughter while contributing to our advocacy fund. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just looking to have a good time, this event is perfect for everyone! Click here to register. For more details, contact Emily Backeberg at ebackeberg@cusd322.org

General Information      

All Teachers Please Read Before Starting to Register :
Once you read this document, please complete the Google Link in the document (some are different types of links so please make sure you are completing the correct link).  Please complete the link BEFORE starting the IAVAT Conference Registration if qualifying for one of these questions:
Are you moving schools in the fall? 
Are you a teacher trying to register a teacher who is currently teaching at another school?
Are you trying to register a First Year Teacher? 
Pre-Service Teachers
GAST Interns
Trying to register for PD, but are not tied to your new school yet.

Once the form is completed, FCAE will add/move the teacher and then contact you to finish your registration.

Multiple Teachers - Please leave the registration open until everyone registers and then submit the registration.

Colleges/Universities - Please do not register as IAVAT Member, please just choose your individual meals that you want to attend and submit your registration.  You only have to pay for meals, not the full conference registration.  For your dues, please contact Lori Copsy at lcopsy@illinoisffa.org.

2024-2025 IAVAT, NAAE, IACTE, IACCAI, ACTE, & ISTA - These are available to register for with your conference registration or you can just register for dues and/or donations and not attend IAVAT Conference.  Contact Lori Copsy first if you are a lifetime member before registering for dues.  2024-25 IAVAT Dues Structure

Pre-Service Teachers & First Year Teachers - Instructions - Please read the instructions above on how to register for either of these two options.  Please contact your FCAE Program Advisor before registering. 

If you are Retired: - Guest Link to be Added Later - Please utilize the Guest Registration link to order your individual meals.  If you have any questions, please email pdavis@illinoisffa.org.  

Award Winners - Please contact pdavis@illinoisffa.org for the VIP Registration Link to register your guests.

Food Allergies/Vegetarian Meals:  Please complete this food allergy form for the meals that the teacher, guest, and/or children are attending to accommodate their food allergy/vegetarian meal request.  Please complete this form by June 1, 2024.

After June 1, 2024, full conference registrations will have a $50 late fee automatically added to your registration fees.  Individual meals will have a $10 late fee added to each meal.

IAVAT Dues for Life Members or First Year Member, please contact Lori Copsy, lcopsy@illinoisffa.org, (217) 753-3328 Ext. 105.  If you are a student member, will be a first year member, or are a life member of any organization, please contact Lori Copsy (lcopsy@illinoisffa.org) to receive a customized membership invoice for your specific circumstances.

Trading Post Garage Sale - Please utilize the IAVAT Conference Garage Sale to buy, sell, trade extra items that you may have or need.  You can also buy/sell additional registrations and/or meal tickets.

Section Officer Elections

From the IAVAT Constitution: 

  • Section 1. The officers of the section shall be Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Section Fair Manager and Advocacy Representative.
  • Section 2. Chairpersons and Fair Managers of the even-numbered sections shall be elected in the even-numbered years for a term of two years. The Secretary and Advocacy Representative of the even-numbered Sections shall be elected in the odd-numbered years for a term of two years. Chairpersons and Fair Managers of the odd-numbered sections shall be elected in the odd-numbered years for a term of two years. The Secretary and Advocacy Representative of the odd-numbered Sections shall be elected in the even-numbered years for a term of two years

Door Prizes      
Door prizes will be given out on Thursday and Friday of the conference. Examples of items- free items from local businesses, items made by students in agriculture classes or from their SAE's, gifts baskets of small items with a theme put together by members of your section, educational or agricultural items. 
  • Odd numbered sections: bring door prizes to SIU-C Student Center on Thursday
    • Odd-numbered section chairs will be asked to help assist with passing out tickets and facilitating the handing out of these prizes. 
  • Even numbered sections: bring door prizes on Friday to Walkers Bluff
    • Even-numbered section chairs will be asked to help assist with passing out tickets and facilitating the handing out of these prizes.

Silent Auction      
We encourage sections or chapters to donate items for the Silent Auction. Money raised for the Silent Auction will benefit the Crisis Relief and Ag Ed Scholarships including (Witt, Hill, and Johnson). For more details, contact Kara Barling at barlingk@husd4.org.
