Flanagan-Cornell High School, located in Section 9, is looking for a second Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor to work alongside Ms. Jessica Collins and focus on expanding the school’s CTE courses focusing on business courses and other STEM opportunities, beginning with the 21-22 school year. Current courses offered include: Introduction to Agriculture, Ag Mechanics, Ag Science, Horticulture, Advanced Horticulture, and Ag Business. Future courses may include Introduction to Business, Consumer Education, Jr. High STEAM, Accounting, and Computers. Courses taught by the newly hired teacher will be mutually agreed upon by the current teacher and new teacher depending on both individuals’ strengths.

Facilities include two classrooms, Ag mechanics shop, Ag Science lab space, as well as a greenhouse. 

Candidates should have a valid Illinois Teacher License. Candidates will be paid based on the collective bargaining agreement. This position also includes the possibility of the Three Circles Grant.
