Freeburg High School  (District 5)  - Agricultural Education Instructor / FFA Advisor
Status: Open
The Freeburg High School, in section 22 of St. Clair county just 35 minutes southeast of St. Louis, will be hiring an Ag teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. Approximately 75 students, out of 680 total 9-12 grade students are enrolled in these courses: Horticultural Science, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Animal Science and Ag Business Management. Facilities include: Newly renovated classroom with attached 3-bay shop, 24x48 greenhouse, 8x36 lean-to greenhouse, small land lab and storage buildings. Additional facilities include: vocational work areas in metal and wood fabrication and automotive shops. Very supportive administration and support group(Freeburg FFA Alumni). The District participates in the 3 Circle FFA & SAE grant.

Salary BS & 0 years - $37,026 with district paid TRS. The District will honor years of service and education credit per the guidelines in the current CBA.  Single health insurance or 50% family benefit paid. FFA stipend and 3 Circle grant totals approximately an additional $14,000 in salary over the base pay. Total salary and benefits package is $60,000+.

Freeburg Community High School District 77 has the largest geographic footprint of any district in St. Clair County with much of it being productive farm land.  Freeburg High School has a long Agricultural tradition and enjoys positive support from our alumni association as well as the community for Ag Ed.
