Ag Educators and Administrators:

The Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education (ILCAE) is very supportive of Illinois Agricultural Education’s long history of having a statewide curriculum for students and teachers.  Data shows that 94% of agriculture teachers have used these curriculum resources averaging 102 logins per teacher this past school year.

The statewide contract for the state Agricultural Education curriculum on the  www.myCAERT.com website expired on May 31, 2021. We understand that the Illinois State Board of Education, Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education (FCAE), and Cutting Edge Curriculum (CEC) have been negotiating a renewal contract and funding has been identified to pay for an annual statewide subscription.

On June 7th, ILCAE sent a support letter for the continuation of a state subscription contract to ISBE State Superintendent, Dr. Carmen I. Ayala, and Board members

Providing equal and equitable access to this curriculum for junior high and high schools with approvable agriculture programs, colleges and universities is a high priority for ILCAE.

If you are supportive of the continuation of the statewide subscription for these curriculum resources located on www.myCAERT.com, we would encourage you to contact State Superintendent,
Dr. Carmen I. Ayala; Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ernesto Matias; and State Board Members.
The best way to communicate with these individuals is to email your message to Kirsten Parr, Board Services, ISBE (KPARR@isbe.net) and ask her to forward your letter to the State Superintendent, the Chief Education Officer, and all Board Members. Include any information on how you have used the curriculum and website.   Communication should be made prior to June 30th.

Thank you.  We appreciate your time, effort, and passion educating students about agriculture and encouraging them to pursue a career in our number one industry in Illinois.
