Agricultural Education Partnership: Logan-Sangamon-Menard Counties (District 3)  - Ag in the Classroom Coordinator

How does an AITC Coordinator make an impact?
• Acts as a resource person for the schools in Logan, Menard, and Sangamon Counties
• Provides teaching materials and information to teachers and the public.
• Be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with the Regional Office of Education, Superintendents, Principals, administrators, and teachers at schools within the program area.
• Conducts in-classroom educational programming.
• Provides training to teach the teachers to deliver AITC programming in their classrooms. These workshops may include classroom training and field trips to farms and agribusinesses.
• Maintain relationships with individuals and businesses that provide charitable donations to the Agricultural Education Partnership.

Qualifications -  Do you have what we’re looking for?
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills for developing and teaching agriculturally based curriculum.
• Organizational skills to maintain work schedules for part-time staff and volunteers involved in conducting in-classroom presentations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• The person must have daily access to a reliable automobile and must possess a valid driver’s license.

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education and related experience in agriculture, environment, conservation, or education.

Salary: A competitive salary is being offered. Consideration may be given for salary increases at the initial six-month review or thereafter.

Benefits: Retirement Pension Plan, Long Term Disability, Group Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Group Life Insurance Plan, and 401k once qualified.

Travel: Business miles - IRS rate in county and out of county with a supporting monthly log.

Vacation: Starting at two weeks. Increasing with years of service.
