The Foundation update as of today, Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

  • Local - $143,422.66

  • SAL - $24,983.20

  • Total - $168,405.86

  • Sponsorship - $121,231.40

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!  Keep up the great work, this is your last week to get those local collection drive dollars submitted for the convention recognition and certificate printing purposes.

****NEW Information****

  • For those FFA chapters who want Foundation Certificates, please click here to requests those.  We need 2 weeks notice prior to your banquet to get these processed, printed and in the mail to you for your banquets.  Thanks so much!

  • ***We will accept Local Collection Drive money at the Alumni Annual meeting this weekend and at 212 next weekend, so if you would prefer to bring it then and that works for you, by all means, bring it then. ***

  • Also note, if you know of some final checks still to come and haven't received them yet, please be sure to communicate that to Tammy tyard@illinoisffa.org so we can work with you on proper recognition for those donors and simply for our office to be aware of that.

  • While the Illinois Foundation FFA accepts donations all year, contributions must be received by January 31, 2020, to be included in recognition at the state convention and for reporting purposes at the Illinois Foundation FFA Annual meeting.

  • On another note, National FFA is coordinating a “Give FFA Day” during National FFA week to help generate funds for National FFA Foundation, though donors would also have the option of selecting Illinois as a beneficiary as well. One of the initiatives is sending postcards to over 1600 Illinois contacts to donate on “Give FFA Day”, Tuesday, February 25, 2020.  Those contacts were generated from the National FFA Check In process.  Through that process, these contacts voluntarily signed up for communications from National FFA. We wanted to share this information with you to avoid any confusion about the postcards, who they went to, and how that contact list was generated.  If you have donors or friends of the FFA ask you about this you are now aware it is a National FFA initiative. Thanks so much!

Steps to Completing Your Foundation Transmittal

  1. Complete chapter transmittal - One was provided in the Foundation Collection Drive folder given to the advisor at their fall section meeting or Beginning Advisors conference.  You may also contact Tammy at the FFA Center tyard@illinoisffa.org for a copy.

  • Write date at top of the transmittal sheet.

  • Write amount of donor’s contribution in ‘new amount’ column.

  • Check name and address for accuracy and make any changes directly on the transmittal.

  • List any new donors on the blank transmittal sheets. Please get the complete mailing address for each new donor. Please write/print clearly. We do send a thank you note to every donor, so it is important that we have their correct mailing address.

  • Write the name, e-mail and phone number of who is submitting the donations and transmittal sheet. This will be the person contacted if we have any questions about the submission.

  • Make a copy for yourself and mail a copy of the transmittal along with your checks by certified mail to:

    Illinois National Bank
    Trust Department
    322 East Capitol Avenue
    Springfield, IL 62701-1710

  • Highly recommend the money and transmittal be sent to the bank by Certified Mail and PLEASE keep your receipt.

  1. EACH TIME you send money, send along a new transmittal sheet with only those donations filled in to match the money.

  2. Certificates can be requested by contacting Tammy Yard or completing the request form on ilaged.org.  Go go Give, How You Can Help, the link is in the box to the right of the screen - 2019 - 2020 Foundation Certificates Request

  3. Donors who give less than $10.00 do not receive a certificate, but they will receive a thank you letter from the Illinois Foundation FFA for their donation, regardless of the amount given.

If you have questions or need assistance you may contact Tammy Yard at the Illinois FFA Center tyard@illinoisffa.org 217-753-3328 ext. 106.
