94th Annual Illinois FFA Convention, June 14 - 16, 2022

Registration is OPEN!  Teachers register for the State Convention just like any other event by going to the www.ilaged.org website, login and begin your process in Event Registration.  

Full three-day registration is $30.00 per person.  Band and Chorus member registration is $15.00 per person.  Students who are serving on the 2022 Selection Committee are provided complimentary registration.  One day registration is $10.00 per person.  

Food Allergies - If attending any of the meals at the State FFA convention and you have food allergies, please complete this form by June 1, 2022.

Free Chapter Parking - By registering for Free Chapter Parking, you will receive one free parking pass (please register for a parking pass).  We will assign you a parking lot to supervise for a 1.5 hour shift.

1. State Poultry Update

Due to restrictions regarding live birds at events due to the Avian Flu, there will be NO live birds utilized for the State Poultry contest. Classes 1 and 2 will be replaced with photos arranged on tables.

We are spreading the word about our new, freely available virtual career awareness series, Insights, for middle and high school students who may be considering a career in the horse or racing industries.  

Insights recorded Q&As give students the chance to gain insights into various jobs, hear diverse perspectives, and gather advice from people who work across the industry. The interviews are unedited, connecting students to exactly what they would see and hear if they were asking the questions themselves.  

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame launched the series in January, and the first 14 episodes are available on the Museum's website. We will release four new episodes each month through June, culminating in a broad representation of different jobs in the industry.

They wanted to share their love for knowledge, reading, history, math or other subject close to their heart. They had an affinity for helping others, or maybe those who needed special attention or care. Today, we thank those teachers for the work they do to prepare the next generation for life. We thank them for their long hours of work after the school day ends, or for sometimes dipping into their own pocketbook to make sure a student has lunch money or a jacket on a cold day.
