  New Teaching Vacancies: Donovan, Kaneland, Park Forest-Chicago Heights

  1. Teaching Vacancy: Donovan High School

    Donovan High School, located in Section 10, is seeking a creative and energetic Agriculture Teacher & FFA Advisor to lead our Agriculture program.  Facilities include a large classroom and lab space.  Donovan participates in the Three Circles Grant which allows for 400 extra hours for our Agriculture teacher which equates to roughly $13,000 extra pay. The program has very strong support from the school and community.

    Courses currently taught include 7th grade ag, Food Science, Horticulture, and Intro to Ag.

    Salary/Benefits: Per Teacher's Master Contract. Full time position. All new teachers get a $2,000 signing bonus!  Contract will be full time plus 400 paid extra hours from the 3-circle grant.

  2. Teaching Vacancy: Kaneland High School 

    Kaneland High School is seeking a fully licensed AG/Science Teacher and Co-FFA Advisor to join their department for the coming school year.

    Current schedule includes Intro to AG, Intro to Horticulture, Animal Science, and Environmental Science. There is a stipend available for the 2nd FFA advisor, along with a greenhouse management stipend, and our school district is currently participating in the 3-Circles Grant Program. The program is currently using CASE curriculum, and preference would be given to candidates who are CASE certified. The position includes collaborating with the current AG teachers to continue to expand the program.

  3. Teaching Vacancy: Park Forest-Chicago Heights School District 163

Park Forest-Chicago Heights School District 163 is seeking a middle school AFNR teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. The program will be based at the Michelle Obama School of Technology & Arts in Park Forest.

The program is ready to grow with you! Based on the principles of sustainability and healthy living, our students are eager to learn about opportunities in AFNR careers. Our STEM campus has a beautiful greenhouse and both campuses have plenty of space to incorporate outdoor learning labs.
