4-H & FFA Livestock Evaluation Event

When: Saturday, March 28, 2020

Time: 8 am-8:45 am registration

           9 am event begins

Where: Bushnell-Prairie City H.S.  Bushnell, IL

Evaluation Event Rules

1. All contestants must be no further advanced than a senior in high school to participate.

2. All teams must consist of members from the same FFA Chapter or 4-H Chapter.

3.A team will consist of four members with all four scores counting towards the team total. 

   Ties will be broken with the question scores.

4. There will be two divisions. Senior is for contestants in 9th through 12 grade. Junior division

    is for contestants in the 8^th grade or lower.

5. The contest will consist of eight or nine rings of livestock, three rings of cattle, two or three

    rings of swine, one or two rings of sheep, and one or two rings of goats.  There will be at

    least one questions class, possibly more.

6. Individual ties will be broken in the following manner-

   1          questions class

   2          number of 50’s

   3          a particular class score to be named later.

7. NEW THIS YEAR, we will be using a scantron card instead of the individual ring cards. 

    Contestants will need to complete the scantron using a #2 lead pencil.  I have attached a

    sample of the scantron we will be using that day.  It is found at judgingcard.com.  It is the

    Universal Form A #705A-12

A concession standing including butterfly pork chops and

hot dogs will be available!
