Vacancy- Charleston Career and Tech Education Teacher

Charleston High School, located in Section 20, is looking for a full-time CTE teacher. This teacher would be responsible for teaching 4 sections of Intro to Agriculture/Intro to Industrial Tech. Industrial Tech classes would be shop classes covering woodshop, CAD, and plasma table at an introductory/exploratory level.  This teacher may also be expected to teach other Ag courses, such as Horticulture, or even a business class, such as Computer Concepts.

CHS utilizes a block schedule. CHS teachers currently teach a total of 3 80-minute classes per day along with an 80-minute prep period each day. Each teacher teaches a total of 6 sections.

Charleston currently employs 1 full-time AG teacher and 1-full-time industrial tech teacher. This position would be adding a 3rd full time position to the department. This year Charleston’s Agriculture and Mechanical center was completely renovated with state-of-the-art tools and equipment. We have a strong focus on growing these programs along with our student-based enterprises.

To apply for the position visit,  Contact Principal Aaron Lock ( with any questions.
