2023 Ground Zero Teacher Assistant Signup

Ground Zero Facilitators need your help! In an effort to allow conference facilitators and team leaders to dedicate their time and attention to providing the best experience possible for members, we need additional assistance managing student logistics during the conference.

Teacher Assistants will be requested to supervise student programming each day (Friday 9:30am-5pm and Saturday 9am-1:30pm) in return for a free advisor registration. Two advisors will be selected for each conference session ballroom to share supervision responsibilities. Each advisor would sit in the ballroom for half of the sessions (coordinating role call with team leaders and ensuring students are in their correct groups, elevating any behavior issues to conference staff, elevating any mental health issues to conference counselor, elevating any health issues to conference nurse, assisting in corresponding with other advisors as necessary to assist with student issues, etc.) and half of the sessions monitoring outside of the conference ballroom (ensure students are not leaving designated conference facilities, routinely walk conference facilities to ensure students are in session, etc.).  Click here if you are willing and interested in assisting the Illinois FFA Center staff.

REMINDER:

Registration is due this Friday, January 13, 2023.  Don't forget to have all of the waivers and the CARE document signed in AET.

CARE Document in AET

We have uploaded the Illinois FFA C.A.R.E. - Commitment to Appropriate and Respectful Experiences document to AET.  We are asking that you review this document with your students prior to attending FFA events.  Now it is conveniently located in AET for both your students and their parents/guardians to sign off on.

Students:

  • Login to AET

  • Click on the Profile screen

  • Then look for the link for "Emergency Info & Permission Forms"

  • The process requires students to update a page of information, and then the form is signed by parents via an email approval process (similar to awards).

Teachers:

  • Login to AET

  • Click on Accounts

  • Then look for Student Contact & Emergency Info

  • Then you can see who has completed the form, it will be a pdf document located to the far right on the screen for each student who has completed it and acquired the parent electronic signature.

No need to print the form, you will always have access to it via AET.  We will be reviewing the Illinois FFA C.A.R.E. - Commitment to Appropriate and Respectful Experiences at our state conferences and asking students to make the commitment to C.A.R.E. while at the event.

In a world that is often in chaos… let us all guide ourselves and our members to CARE.
