Vacancy: Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor Rantoul High School
Description:
RTHS has an opening for an Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor. The
program is a two teacher program teaching with Mr. Nick Cotter. Rantoul Township High School enjoys the
demographics of a small urban community in a rural setting. The student
population is around 750 students. The Agriculture department is part of
the career and technical education team. Courses are offered in several
areas of agriculture. The RTHS Agriculture curriculum is one of the most
diverse curriculums in the area. See our course catalog for more
information (CLICK HERE) The Ag/CTE team benefits from being part
of a 15 school Education for Employment District. RTHS receives the
largest portion of the CTEI and Perkins IV grant in the area. A culture
of collaboration has been established throughout the school. RTHS
receives students from 6 different feeder schools. The ideal candidate will be
a self starter with a strong work ethic who is focused on student
success. RTHS has a strong technology base. Chromebooks are widely
utilized throughout the school.
Location:
Rantoul is located 15 miles north of Champaign-Urbana. Rantoul is
also equidistant from the three metropolitan areas of Chicago, Indianapolis and
St. Louis. The Village of Rantoul has approximately 12,000
residents.
Benefits:
Salary is regionally competitive in accordance with the collective bargaining
agreement. Salary is based on experience and education level. The
school district pays 100% of the employee's healthcare insurance
premiums. Tuition reimbursement is available for advanced education.
RTHS has an established mentoring program for new teachers. There is an
additional stipend associated with the FFA Advisor position
