Vacancy: Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond Agriculture Education Teacher & FFA Advisor

Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School CUSD #305 is seeking a motivated and qualified applicant for Agriculture Education Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. We are located in the heart of central IL as a part of FFA District IV and Section 17. The candidate will continue the tradition of a strong Ag & FFA program for ALAH HS.

Currently the high school offers a wide variety of agriculture courses, which include Ag Mechanics, Ag Business, Animal Science and Intro to Agriculture. A complete list of our classes is found here for this school year. In addition to a traditional classroom, we currently have resources that include a greenhouse, dedicated space within our shop for engines and welding, a test plot with a local farmer as well as a partnership with a local business that hosts 10 acres for the ag teacher to grow our own popcorn as well as manage other producers. Our Ag Program is supported by an outstanding FFA Alumni Association, faculty, administration and communities. Our current FFA members have earned multiple state awards and work throughout the year to have an outstanding chapter.

Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School has a student population of approximately 320 students with nearly 70 in FFA. The Ag Department is a part of the Career and Technical education team within the high school.  This team works closely within our school and is able to utilize our local resources and through our area educational resources and grants. District #305 values the FFA program and is seeking a highly motivated candidate that will grow our program, incorporating the most up-to-date science and technology and the vast resources available from our community.

Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest and resume to Steffanie Seegmiller at seegmillers@cusd305.org or apply online at ALAH HS Agriculture Educator. This posting closes on March 10.
