Ag Teacher & FFA Advisor

Description

Riverdale High School, located in Port Byron  in Section 3, is seeking an Agricultural Education Teacher/FFA Advisor position for the Fall of 2023.

Riverdale Ag Department has a large Ag Mechanics shop that includes 7 lincoln stick welders

2 new vulcan multi process Welders, 3 lincoln mig welders, 2 oxy fuel stations,Sawstop table saw, lots of newer power and hand tools, 2 storage/tool rooms and Newly wired 3 phase electric in shop.  Riverdale facilities currently include a large classroom with tower garden, smartboard and office. 

Riverdale  is a one to one school with Chromebooks. Courses to be taught are flexible based on the candidate. 

Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). There is an extended contract with the school district of 20 additional days outside of the traditional school calendar and Not less than $39,518 plus creditable earnings with consideration for experience.
