Position: Agriculture Teacher & FFA Advisor

Description: Shelbyville High School, located in Shelbyville in Section 19 is seeking an Agricultural Education Teacher/FFA Advisor for the Fall of 2023. The Shelbyville Agriculture Department has a mechanics shop, greenhouse, and a 17-acre FFA test plot. Current courses to be taught are dependent upon the candidate strengths.  School is 1 to 1 with Chromebooks. The Agriculture Department has a touch screen Promethean board, Ag Office Space, and Ag Shop. The Industrial Arts Department has a CNC cutter, full carpentry shop, and full welding shop. Shelbyville has an extremely active and supportive school and administrative staff as well as community.  

Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS).   Shelbyville participates in the Three Circle Grant.
