Illinois Crop Scouting Competition
Dear ag
instructors,
For a third year, the University of Illinois Extension is hosting the
Illinois Crop Scouting Competition for student teams of up to five members that
are interested in putting their ag classroom knowledge to work in a fun and
interactive setting (press release). Eligible students
include those that are completing grades 9-12 this spring. This
year's competition will be held on Aug. 1 at the Crop
Sciences Research and Education Center (CSREC) on the main
campus in Champaign-Urbana. Check-in will start at 8am and the
competition will take place from 8:30am until 1:30 pm, including a provided
boxed lunch and awards ceremony.
Registration is free, but it is required and must be completed no later
than June 30 (max 10 teams). More information about the competition
and registration procedure can be found on the web page (go.illinois.edu/CropScouting).
This toolkit includes a flyer, handout, and
graphic for your use, if desired. Please let me know if you have
any questions.
We hope
to see you and your students on the South Farms in August!
Sincerely,
Talon
