Newsworthy items taken from the June newsletter of The Council. The National Council for Agricultural Education (The Council) serves school-based agricultural education. Since its beginning in December 1983, The Council has provided leadership for stakeholders in agriculture, food, fiber and natural resources systems education. The Council identifies important opportunities and needed resources for agricultural education and drives action to support the development and direction focusing on academic and career success for all students.
AFNR Standards Revisions Survey
The National Council for Agricultural Education is beginning the process of revising the Agricultural, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) content standards, previously revised in 2015. This process will include revising the eight existing pathways and developing a new pathway focused on agricultural education/communication. In addition to revising content standards, Career Ready Practices, AFNR Cluster Skills and crosswalks will be updated.
The first step in the revision process is to collect feedback and insights about the standards through surveys. Each pathway has one survey, and there is a survey for the AFNR Cluster Skills and a survey for the Career Ready Practices. You are welcome to submit up to one response per survey. Please use this link or the link below to access a webpage with the various surveys.
The deadline to complete surveys during round one is Friday, June 16. Thank you in advance for your support of this project. AFNR Standards Revision Surveys (ROUND ONE)
