Due to Ag program growth and a Business department vacancy, Watseka High School (Section 10) is seeking a second Ag Teacher for the coming school year to instruct courses in Business and Agricultural Education. Overall departmental courses offered include:
Intro to Agriculture, Agricultural Construction, Companion and Vet Sciences, Agricultural Mechanics,
Horticulture, Marketing, Coop-Ed Careers, and Jr. High Exploratory. Teaching assignments will be
determined based on qualifications and department needs. A successful candidate will work with our current AgEd instructor to organize and facilitate our 3-Circle Ag Education program.
Qualifications
--Professional Educator License with endorsement in Agriculture Education
--Appropriate State of Illinois certification for assignment
--Candidates without endorsement may be considered; FCAE will provide assistance in obtaining a Career and Technical Education endorsement which requires 2000 hours of industry experience.
This position is not planned to receive 3 Circle Funding in the first year but it may be available in future years.
