Illinois FFA Alumni & Supporters Information & Updates

1.  Illinois FFA Alumni & Supporters Ground Zero Conference and Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship Applications

The Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters applications are now open and are due Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  A letter of recommendation from the FFA Advisor on the student applying for the scholarship is also due on November 8, 2023.  Your chapter must have an active alumni to apply for these scholarships:

Ground Zero Conference Scholarship Application - Please have a freshman or sophomore complete the application to attend one of the Ground Zero Conferences in January 2024.  We will only accept one application per school.  

Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship Application - Sophomores and Juniors may apply for the WLC Scholarship.  We do not have the scholarship amount yet because the National FFA has not released the conference cost yet.  National FFA will have this conference in the Summer of 2024.

2.  Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Letter of Intent to be on the Alumni Council

The Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters are looking for new members to be a part of the alumni council. The IL FFA Alumni and Supporters Council meets 3-4 times a year to judge scholarship applications, plan the Alumni Annual Meeting & Auction, plan ways to help FFA members, plus many other items.  Please email or mail the Letter of Intent to the address on the application by October 1, 2023.  We also have District Director positions available in Districts I & II, please attend the Alumni Annual Meeting and Auction on January 19-20, 2024 for the voting process.  We will update this link with information about the 2024 Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Annual Meeting & Auction.

3.  National FFA Alumni and Supporters Outstanding Achievement Application

Do you have an outstanding alumni chapter that supports local FFA members in an outstanding way?  Then please complete this link to the application and complete by Wednesday, November 8, 2023.  The applications will be judged on Saturday, November 18, 2023.  The winner will be announced on Friday, January 19, 2024, during the Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Annual Meeting & Auction.

4.  National FFA Alumni and Supporters Outstanding Chapter Application

Do you have an outstanding alumni chapter that supports local FFA members in an outstanding way?  Then please complete the Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Outstanding Chapter Application (once you download this application, save it to your computer) by November 8, 2023.  The applications will be judged on November 18, 2023, and the winner will receive their award on January 19, 2024, at the Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters annual meeting and auction in Springfield, Illinois.  

5. SAVE THE DATE - Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Annual Meeting & Auction

The Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters annual meeting, and auction will be held on Friday, January 19 - Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel, Springfield, Illinois.  Registration fees, hotel room reservation links, etc. will be updated at this link.  Do you know someone who sells seed or have a way to get other types of donations, please contact our Auction Coordinator, Daphne Thorman with this information at ilffaalumniauction20@gmail.com.    Do you work for a company that could give the alumni a sponsorship or would like a request letter sent out, please contact Riley Wells at rwells@illinoisffa.org.   If you have any questions about the event, please contact Patti Davis at pdavis@illinoisffa.org.
