Stanley F. “Stan” Jones, a beloved teacher and dedicated farmer, departed this world on October 25, 2023, at the age of 71, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on October 31, 1951, in Salem, the son of Darrell Floyd and Margie (Conant) Jones. On December 28, 1973, he married Linda (Mitchell) Jones at the First Baptist Church in Salem, and she survives in Alma.

Stan's memory will forever be cherished by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Linda of Alma; his son Ryan Jones and wife Amanda of St. Louis, Missouri; his daughter Denise Beasley and husband Dennis of Staunton; his cherished grandchildren Brayden Register, Ryleigh Jones, and Zella Beasley; brother-in-law, Jim Brubaker; sister-in-law, Cathy Jones; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Connie Brubaker; and his brother, Roger Jones.

Stan was a devoted member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Patoka. He dedicated 34 years of his life to teaching agriculture at Odin Public Schools. Furthermore, he was the owner and operator of 20/20 Satellite Service for over 25 years. Stan's influence extended beyond the classroom, as he was a longstanding FFA Advisor and a farmer for over 50 years. In addition to his professional commitments, Stan had a wide range of interests. He found joy in coin collecting, had a passion for basketball, and cherished the moments spent with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

Funeral services for Stan Jones will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, with Pastor David Kueker officiating. He will be laid to rest at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Alma. A visitation will take place on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Hope Lodge, and they will be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem, which is assisting the family with the arrangements. Online condolences can be shared at www.CrouseFH.com.
