Amboy High School 2nd Ag Teacher and Co-FFA Advisor Job Posting (Fall 2024)

Amboy High School, located in Amboy, IL, and Section 2, has a full-time opening for the 2024-2025 school year for an Agricultural Education teacher and co-FFA advisor to join as the second instructor. The program is energetic, established, competitive, and welcoming. The school administration, alumni, community, and students are excited to continue to grow the future of agriculture!

The Amboy High School Agriculture Program has been competitive at the section, district, state, and national levels of competition in FFA in recent years. The program’s success stems from dedication to the three-circle model of ag education. The program is supported by an involved alumni group that helps maintain community relations and financial support.

Facilities include a classroom, two office spaces, a metal shop with eight welding booths, a wood shop, and a land lab.

The courses will include Introduction to Agriculture, Ag Construction, Ag Mechanics, Welding, Small Engines, Ag Biology, Ag Mathematics, Animal and Vet Science, Agricultural Business, and Horticulture. These classes will be able to be offered to students yearly. The division of courses between teachers will be dependent on the strengths of the candidate. Multiple classes within the program will count as Dual credit through Sauk Valley Community College.
