There are two openings for Kewanee.  Kewanee high school has an opening in their 3 teacher department.  Kewanee is also expanding into Middle School which creates a 4th teacher for department.  Both openings are below.

Vacancy:  Kewanee High School

Position: Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor (3rd Position)

Description: Kewanee High School, located in Kewanee, Illinois in Section 3, is seeking an Agricultural

Education Teacher and FFA Advisor for the Fall of 2024.  This individual will be joining Mrs. Kindra Callahan and Mr. Jacob Meyer.

The Kewanee High School Agriculture and CTE department has an on-campus farm, greenhouse, ag. mechanics lab, welding lab, and carpentry production shop with CNC Machine, wood lathes, Sawstop Table Saw, and other advanced woodworking tools.  Current courses to be taught will be selected based on the strength of the candidate which may include both classroom and shop courses.  There is an opportunity to teach dual credit depending on the candidate’s qualification.  Kewanee High School is a well-established 1:1 Chromebook school with top-notch technology and instructional support. Our facilities are experiencing upgrades as the new Ag Science Center was finished back in Spring 2023 and our Great Dane Welding Lab was opened the year before. CTE and the Agriculture program are strongly supported by the administration and the Board of Education. Our community is dedicated to supporting an Agriculture program with a growing FFA Alumni and Advisory Council.
