Dakota High School, located at Dakota in Northern Stephenson County, Section 1, has a full-time opening for the 2024-25 school year for an Agricultural Education teacher and FFA advisor.
Facilities include a greenhouse, an Ag Mechanics shop, landscaping areas, and a lab room. School is 1 to 1 with Chromebooks.
The courses to be taught currently include Animal Science, Middle School Ag, Intro to Ag, Ag Business Management, Horticulture, and Vet Science; these courses may be flexible depending on the qualified candidate's specific skills and interests.
Qualifications
Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS); 6-12 certification preferred, but not required.
Salary/Benefits
Salary (BS/BA+0=$40,708) and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement. The district currently offers a 12-month extended contract as the school district participates in the Three Circle FFA and SAE grant, which pays an additional base of $13,637.00.
