(Sent to administrators and counselors)
Good Morning Administrators and Counselors,
As a reminder the FCAE-Local Program Support Team will be hosting an informative and exciting day at the Illinois FFA State Convention just for administrators and counselors, like you, on Wednesday, June 12th, from 9:00 am- 2:00 pm! We currently have 40 individuals signed up for this event.
We hope you can join us at the President Abraham Lincoln Double Tree Springfield located at, 701 E Adams St, Springfield, IL 62701 for the morning session. Two tracks will be hosted to best meet the needs of your school and program.
Track 1: New Programs/New Administrators and Counselors
Come learn about the 3 Circle Model of Agriculture Education, grants that are available from the IL Ag Education Line item through the Illinois State Board of Education, and meet with students about their experiences in FFA and with work-based learning SAEs.
Track 2: Experienced Administrators and Counselors
We will focus on the Agriculture Education impact on the College Career Readiness
Indicator at the local level, dive into developing an AFNR College and Career Pathway
(including examples of team-based challenges), and hear from industry professionals to
gauge agriculture-related job demand and required skills.
Both groups will have the opportunity to visit the Illinois FFA State Convention, network during lunch, and conclude with roundtable discussions on key topics in Agricultural Education. See the attached flyer and agenda for more information.
Registration can be found on the flyer or by clicking here!
