  3 Circle Ag Grant: Amendments for Pro-Rated Grants Due May 30th

FY24 3 Circles Grant Amendments


This year the Teacher 3 Circles Ag Grants were prorated at 94%. Due to funds being returned to the Illinois State Board of Education from districts that did not utilize these funds, we are proud to share that we will be able to fully fund the FY24 Teacher 3 Circles Ag Grants. 


Therefore, each district that had a prorated allocation will need to take the following steps by May 30th: 

*Note: This will require each teacher's FY 24 3 Circle Excel Document & will be done in the IWAS system.

  1. Login to IWAS, select the Three Circles (FFA and SAE) Grant, and click “Create Amendment”.

  2. Go to the Page Lock Control tab and make sure that the Applicant Information, Amendment, Upload, Budget Detail and Payment Schedule tabs are all Open.  If they are not, select those pages and click Save to open them.

  3. Go to Applicant Information

    1. Verify that the Activity Period is marked as “Regular Project Year.”  If it is not, please make that change and click Save.

  4. Go to the Amendment tab

    1. Select Amended Application

    2. Type “Reallocation Increase” in the description box and click Save

  5. Go to the Budget Pages tab (you will need each teacher’s FY 24 Excel worksheet for this portion):

    1. In the Excel Worksheet, click on the Prorated Budget Detail tab

    2. Line 2B shows the Maximum Dollar Match of Salary (100% allocation), copy that number onto the yellow box on 1A.  (Save this document for step 7) 

    3. Scroll to the bottom of the worksheet and make your budget lines on the Budget Detail Tab match with the IWAS Budget Detail. 

  6. Go to Payment Schedule tab

    1. Add the additional funding amount to the month of May or June

  7. Go to the UPLOAD tab and upload each of the newly revised Excel spreadsheets (from step 5) for the teacher(s).  It is helpful to make sure the name of the file includes a recent date edited, or delete previous files.

  8. Go to Submit. Run the Consistency Check. Submit to your local administrator.

Additionally reminder: All amendments to the Ag Incentive Funding Grant Application in IWAS also need to be made by May 30, 2024. Funds for both grants must be allocated by June 30, 2024.
