Flanagan-Cornell High School in Livingston County (Section 9) is looking for an Agricultural Teacher/FFA Advisor to teach alongside Jessica Chipman. FCHS is proud to have two Ag teachers in our department along with an award-winning FFA program. The newly hired teacher would teach classes that are agricultural and career-centered, as well as, to serve as the co-FFA sponsor for the high school.
Classes offered include: Intro to Ag, Ag Mechanics, Ag Business, Ag Science, Basic Horticulture Science, and Advanced Horticulture (dual-credit). This year we also hope to offer exploratory courses for 5th - 8th grade students. Courses would be split between our current Ag teacher and the new addition to our team based on teacher strengths.
Flanagan-Cornell participates in the 3 Circles Grant.
Although FCHS is small, we are proud of the quality of education and opportunities that we provide our students. Prospective teachers should expect small class sizes, a family-friendly environment, and two supportive communities. Each student has their own school-issued Chromebook and access to the Google Suite. We have an extremely supportive board of education, administrative team, and staff who are willing to do what it takes for our students and our communities. We look forward to showing you what Falcon Pride means to us!
