Congratulations to our 2018 - 2019 Illinois FFA State Secretary, Miriam Hoffman, on being elected as the 2020-2021 National FFA Eastern Region Vice President.  Miriam will continue to provide great leadership to the FFA.

Here are some common thoughts from those who have worked with Miriam over the years:

“Miriam is an exceptional young woman, she truly is generous, giving, forgiving, and big hearted.  When asking Miriam to identify her core value, she instantly acknowledges empathy as her core value that she embodies.  When she interacts and engages with others, she connects deeply and creates meaningful relationships.  She balances a charming and warm personality with sincerity and integrity.”

“Miriam leads with empathy, intellect and an excellent work ethic.  She truly leads her peers by example from her teammates on the officer team to the fellow students she works with.  She often examines ideas from various angles to ensure that others can relate and connect.  Miriam is also exceptionally intelligent and can process the perspectives of others better than anyone I know.  She is constantly looking for ways to grow her experiences to add to the perspectives she brings to the conversations and interactions with others.”

“Miriam is genuinely interested in every person she meets, that interest builds into relationships that all benefit from.  Even if Miriam sees something differently from someone else, she has an amazing ability to connect with others.  She has great empathy and truly cares about people.  Don’t mistake that for weakness, Miriam will be the first one to tell herself to “step up, push through and persevere” any challenge she is faced with.”

Wishing you all the best, Miriam!

ALL of our National competitors make Illinois FFA very proud! Please know that your hard work, exceptional talents and dedication do not go unnoticed.  On behalf of our over 20,000 Illinois FFA members, “Congratulations!  You make us all very proud. We are all so very happy for each competitor, their chapters, their advisors, their families and their communities.”  In many cases, we know it’s due to the tremendous support of those advisors, families and community members that your successes are possible.  Congratulations to all!

Great work Illinois FFA!

Have a GRAND day and a WONDERFUL weekend.  Happy Halloween!
