Greetings, fair managers!
I know that several of you have upcoming fall/winter fairs planned and wanted to send a reminder about the mailing deadline of your final report for each fair event.
Your final fair report MUST be POSTMARKED within 30 days following the conclusion of every fair you hold. State statute requires the Department of Ag to issue a penalty fee reducing your premium for EACH DAY it is late.
I strongly advise you to take your notarized final report to the post office directly and obtain a receipt showing proof of mailing, and keep that receipt in your fair records, especially given the unique times we are in with postal service being slowed down.
