Wesclin High School, in Trenton (Section 22), is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Agriculture Education Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 2021-22 school year. The newly hired individual will be replacing Mr. Matt Fisher as he retires after a very successful teaching career.
Facilities include a new classroom and shop as well as a 30x60 greenhouse. Within the affiliated FFA chapter there are currently 89 students taking an agriculture education course. Current courses offered, but are able to be adapted due to strengths of hired individual, include Ag Business, Ag Mechanics, Ag Metal Fabrication, Horticulture, Intro to Agriculture and Ag Science (science credit offered).
Candidates should have a valid Illinois Teacher License. Candidates will be paid based on the collective bargaining agreement. This position also includes an FFA stipend/ Three Circles Grant.
