Description:
United High School, located in Monmouth in Section 4, is seeking an Agricultural
Education Teacher/ CO FFA Advisor position with a preference on Ag Mechanics for the Fall of 2021.

The United Ag Department has an Ag Mechanics shop with 12 welding booths, a woods shop that was updated in the last 5 years, Saw Stop table saw, greenhouses, Access to Science Labs, Food Science Kitchen, Computer Lab in Ag Shop with 10 Computers with CAD capabilities, 2- Shop Bot CNC Routers, and a 8-acre FFA test plot. Current courses to be taught could focus on the Ag Mechanics Pathway, but will be determined based on the strength of the candidate. School is going 1 to 1 with Chromebooks and has a smartboard in each classroom. Agriculture is very important in our community.  Our new teacher would have tremendous community support and would join the team of Mr. Scott Riden and Mrs. Stephanie Allaman.

Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). 

Qualifications

Proper Illinois licensure for grade level(s) and content area. 

Salary/Benefits

Per negotiated salary agreement.

Looking at alternative method of staffing an Industrial Technology opening that would integrate into a well established vocational agriculture curriculum.
