Cooperative Education Courses
Again this summer, Illinois State University will be offering BE480 and BE482 in an online format. These are the two courses that are part of the requirements to coordinate a cooperative education program in Illinois. The courses are designed not just for business education but for cooperative education programs in any of the five Career & Technical Education areas. Additionally, they provide information for special education teachers who are working with students that have been placed at community job sites.
June 1 - June 18, 2021 - BE 480, Section 091
Organization and Administration of Career and Technical Cooperative Education Programs
June 21 - July 9, 2021 - BE 482, Section 091

Please Note
Starting this year, any teacher holding a Professional Educator License (PEL) in Agricultural Education, will not need to complete these courses in order to be able to teach work-based learning/cooperative education.

Teachers who hold a Educator License with Stipulations (ELS-CTE) will still need to complete the two courses in order to teach work-based learning/cooperative education.
