Delegate Sign up for Illinois FFA Virtual State Convention
It is time to sign your delegates up for the Illinois FFA Virtual State Convention. The Illinois FFA will be using Turning Technologies for our voting system for both the Business Session and Elections. Each school will be issued two accounts for their two voting delegates. For schools to get voting access, you MUST complete the Delegate Registration form. Click here to complete the 2020 Delegate Registration form. ALL DELEGATES MUST BE REGISTERED BY MIDNIGHT on TUESDAY, MAY 31, 2020. The following information is required on the form:
-
Chapter Name
-
Advisor Name
-
Advisor Email address
-
Delegate 1 - Name
-
Delegate 1 - Email address
-
Delegate 1 - Password
-
Delegate 1 - t-shirt size
-
Delegate 2 - Name
-
Delegate 2 - Email address
-
Delegate 2 - Password
-
Delegate 2 - t-shirt size
Frequently asked questions about the system:
Will the system allow for school addresses? Yes, Turning Technologies will not be emailing the students, the email address serves as their login, school addresses will work fine.
How should they select a password? Encourage your students to pick one they will remember and is unique to them.
Do students have to have a laptop? Students can use their phone, ipad, laptop or desktop. But you should have two devices per delegate, one so they are watching on one device and then voting with the other device. For example: they are watching the elections on a laptop and voting via Turning Technologies from their phone.
Is the system difficult to use? Turning Technologies is the same system we use for face to face elections. It is easy to use, and the Illinois FFA Board tested the system from our phones and laptops. I used it- if I managed it with ease, your students are all set.
Can a student give out their email address and password to others to get more people to vote? NO, the system only allows ONE device per email address. The Illinois FFA Board tested this as well, you CANNOT login on more than ONE device per email address and password.
Will our Chapter Delegates still get a delegate t-shirt? Yes, we are still working out the shipping details, but delegates will be getting their free t-shirts and we will be selling the remaining Convention t-shirts - more information on that to follow.
My students use Chromebooks, will that be an issue? Directly from Turning Technologies: “I’ve never heard of anyone having issues with using the Chromebook. As long as they can access www.ttpoll.com there should be no issue since nothing needs installed.”
How do I know the system will work on my device? We will open up a mock polling on Monday, June 8, 2020, at 1:00 p.m.

Census Grant Deadline Extended - Click here for Census Contract Info
In order to allow FFA Chapters more time to promote the Census in your area, we are extending the deadline to June 15, 2020. We are also increasing the rewards. Each Illinois FFA Chapter is still eligible for at least $125.00 credit for registrations to Illinois events, but we are awarding the Top 10 Chapters with additional funds.
-
1st place Chapter = $1000.00
-
2nd place Chapter = $750.00
-
3rd place Chapter = $500.00
-
4th - 10th place Chapters = $250.00
Reminder this is an additional amount on top of the $125.00 chapters can earn. Many chapters can earn more than the initial $125.00 per chapter depending on how much you share, promote, demonstrate your participation in promoting and marketing the Census and how many chapters actually participate.
So start today, remind others...EVERYONE COUNTS! Check out the Illinois FFA Facebook page and share, promote and see what others are doing.
