1. National Officer Candidate Workshop Sign-Up

Miriam Hoffman would love to connect with your students to help her prepare for her running for National FFA Officer.  Please take a moment and give Miriam the opportunity to facilitate a workshop with your FFA members.

2.  How to Pay Account Balances with a Credit Card  - For Teachers

1. Go to www.ilaged.org

2. Sign in 

3. Go to TEACH 

4. Then Educator Resources on the right side in the 2nd side menu has the link to the video called HOW TO PAY ACCOUNT BALANCES WITH CREDIT CARD

5. Please remember when paying with a credit card it will calculate and total the fee for you.  No need to change the amount before clicking on PAY WITH CARD. 

3.  Elite Conference Registration Reminder

Elite Conference Registration closes on September 17th.  Elite Conference is for high school students interested in becoming an agriculture teacher.  The conference will take place virtually October 14th and 15th.  For more details about this virtual conference and how to register, click here.

4.  Plans for this Fall - LTS Speeches, Chapter Visits, BUILD

Thank you all so much for taking the time to complete the survey that we posted, those results are very helpful.  To make sure you all have an idea of the plans for this Fall as we move forward, here is what we tentatively have planned and are working on: 

• The week of September 21, 2020 - Post Leadership Training School Speeches one per major state FFA Officer on https://www.youtube.com/user/ILAgEd

• October 1, 2020 - Post the Pre-recorded Chapter Visits segments, reminder there are 8 segments to the pre-recorded Chapter Visits - an introduction, one segment per major state FFA officer and a closing, including a segment from your Section Officer Team.  Posted on https://www.youtube.com/user/ILAgEd

• October 8, 2020 - Post the State FFA Officer Meet & Greet signup form on the state wide listserv, as well as on the www.ilaged.org website.  

  • This Meet & Greet is an ideal follow-up to watching the Chapter Visits Video Presentations.  NOTICE:  You may complete this form more than once in order to conduct this event with more than one class.  

  • Also note when signing up for an officer Meet & Greet you can select your expectations for the online meeting:  

     Introduce Chapter Visits - Replace pre-recorded introduction segment

    • Conclude Chapter Visits - Replace pre-recorded closing segment

    • Separate Meet & Greet - not associated with pre-recorded content

    • Brief remarks at chapter meeting or other function

  • Also note, that you can still request a virtual officer for events that you conduct with your chapter by clicking here, the Meet & Greet sign up is designed to be in conjunction with Chapters Visits or a similar connection with your FFA Chapter.  

• October 1, 2020 - Open BUILD Conference registration.  

• October 15, 2020 - Close BUILD Conference registration.

• October 23, 2020 - BUILD Conference in a box mailed to participants.

• November 3 - 5, 2020 - BUILD Conference Option 1 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• November 10 - 12, 2020 - BUILD Conference Option 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Please note, we are offering BUILD Conference over the course of two weeks based on the number of students you indicated you may sign up for the conference in the survey.  We also have two different start times for each week, again using the indicators of preferred times on the survey.  Many of you indicated for our events to be flexible and have options to allow optimum ability to implement with your students.  Our hope is that these options will work for as many of our members as possible.
