1.  Day of Service Backpacks 

The Illinois FFA has 91 leftover backpacks from the 2020 Illinois FFA State Convention Day of Service project.  If your FFA Chapter was expanding on the backpack service project in your community, please email mbunselmeyer@illinoisffa.org if you would like any extra backpacks, first come first served and we are out when we are out.  Thanks so much!

2.  Illinois FFA Chapter Files

Ever wonder who from your FFA Chapter has ever received their State FFA Degree, how about confirming your Charter date, has any past state officers from your Chapter?  The Illinois FFA Center can now offer this information in an electronic format for you to view at https://www.ilaged.org/page.aspx?ID=4978

3.  SAE Grants Application Opens

The SAE Grants application is now open and will close on Monday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. EST. Students can access the application through the application center on FFA.org and on the SAE Grants webpage. A how-to PDF on accessing and filling out the SAE Grants application, along with the 2020 SAE Grants Summary Table, are also available. Contact Jennifer Preston, jpreston@ffa.org or 317-452-6013, with questions.

4.  NCGA Accepting Applications for 2020 Scholarships

The National Corn Growers Association is again offering its William C. Berg Academic Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship thanks to the sponsorship of BASF Corporation.

Five $1,500 scholarships are available to undergraduate college students.

To apply, students or a parent/guardian must be a member of the NCGA. Past scholarship winners and employees and the families of employees of any division of BASF or their subsidiaries or the NCGA are not eligible for the scholarship. Students may apply for membership at NCGA.com.

Applications must be submitted by December 4, 2020. 

The application is available here: http://www.ncga.com/scholarships. We have multiple scholarship programs, please select the correct program on our online form.

Please send this information on to students, educators, university staff, or anyone in your community who you believe would be interested.
