A Not So Silent Night!

What is this?  The Recruitment and Retention Committee is working hard to find ways to support agriculture teachers and wanted to do a fun celebration of what has been a stressful year.  This event will be held via Zoom on December 18th starting at 6pm.  Make your favorite holiday treat and jump online to have some fun and competition with your Illinois Ag Ed Family

What will be occurring at the holiday party?  We will be using a company called the 100 Point Challenge to facilitate a competitive game called “The Puzzle”.  It is similar to an Escape Room, check out the website to find out a little bit more about what “The Puzzle” is.  This activity was recommended by other states who had done it with their teachers.  It also might be an activity you want to do with your students!  Along with The Puzzle, we will also be having some competitions with the winners receiving gift cards!  

Competitions include:

• Ugly Sweat
• Best Holiday Outfit
• Tackiest Holiday Decoration
• Best Christmas Tree
• Best Elf (dress up your child or pet)

What is the cost?  FREE!!  This event is being supported by funds from the IL STAR project, which is focused on recruiting and retaining agriculture teachers

How do I sign up?  To sign up, just fill out this Google Form.  You will have two registration options.  You can register as part of a team or register as an individual and we will make teams.  The Puzzle event is done in teams, the company suggests 4.  They also suggest that each team member have their own device.  All of the Zoom link and other details will be shared with those that have registered closer to the 18th.
