• 2023 Illinois FFA Selection Committee - STUDENTS NEEDED

• Town Hall during March 1, 2023, CREW Meeting - The Illinois FFA Board in reply to the IAVAT resolution to revisit and provide more information regarding the Illinois FFA Constitutional Amendment -  to Replace the word Section with Region, will be holding a Town Hall during the March 1, 2023, CREW Meeting.  Please click here to provide your testimonials or submit your question.   ALL SUBMISSIONS are DUE by Monday, February 20, 2023, to allow the board to review them and also notify those who are going to verbally provide testimony on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.  All verbal testimonies will be allowed 3 minutes to present and answer questions.  Verbal presenters will be cut off at 3 minutes.

1. Star Applications

Congrats if you have a Section Star winner!  We are excited for your students who are those winners.  Click here for the NEXT Steps to prepare for the District competition.  For the letter of recommendation on the Star Application, DO NOT upload a letter of recommendation.  Simply upload a blank piece of paper.  This being our first year with the Star Application, the SAE Committee and the FFA Board will collaborate after the process this year and make determinations for the future.  

2.  Ag Legislative Day and Reception

The Illinois Department of Agriculture has reconfirmed original dates for Ag Legislative Day (March 29) and our Seminar/Reception for the evening before (March 28). Registrations have been reopened and are opened to ALL chapters this year with no registration caps. Room blocks are available at the Ramada for $75/night (+tax) by calling (217) 523-4000 and mention you are an “FFA Chapter” and at the Wyndham for $112/night (+tax) by calling (217) 789-1530 with code IL FFA 2023 or registering using this hotel room block link.

Top 10 Section President Award – due March 13th, 2023 (application)

Applications for the Top 10 Section President Award are live now! This award recognizes the efforts of section presidents who exceeded expectations as an FFA member, state officer, and section leader. The top 10 individuals will be recognized at State Convention as Top Section Presidents. Winners will also be invited to attend the Illinois Farm Bureau and Affiliates Premier 20 Leadership Conference – an elite professional development opportunity for exceptional young leaders in Illinois. Chapter President Awards – Due April 14th, 2023 (application)

Applications are live now for the Chapter President Award which recognizes chapter presidents who have excelled in their role over the past year. The top 10 applicants will be recognized as top chapter presidents at State Convention, and all applicants will be distinguished for their efforts as a gold, silver, or bronze ranking chapter president.
